Privacy Notice
Omnia Smart Technologies Limited
Who we are
This notice explains how Omnia Smart Technologies Limited ("Omnia", "we", "our", "us"), registered in England and Wales, handles personal data collected through this website, omniast.com. Omnia is the data controller for that information.
It covers this website only. How we handle personal data as an organisation is set out in our Data Protection Policy. The AIOne product platforms have their own privacy notice at aione.uk/privacy.
What we collect, and why
We only collect personal data that you choose to send us. If you don't fill in a form, we do not ask for anything that identifies you by name. The optional analytics below — Plausible, and Google Analytics if you accept it — are described under "Analytics" and "Cookies".
Enquiry forms. The contact form and the investor enquiry form ask for your name, email address, organisation, the nature of your enquiry and your message. We use this solely to respond to you. Submitting a form sends those details by email to our enquiries inbox; we do not store them in a database on this website.
Analytics. If you accept analytics, we load two tools to understand which pages are useful: Plausible, which is cookieless and anonymous, and Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics sets cookies (see "Cookies" below) to recognise repeat visits and may transfer usage data to Google in the United States. Nothing is loaded unless you accept, and you can withdraw at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer of any page — we then remove the scripts and delete the Google Analytics cookies.
Lawful basis. For enquiries we rely on legitimate interests — responding to someone who has deliberately contacted us about our business. You can object at any time (see "Your rights"). We do not use your enquiry to send you marketing unless you ask us to. For analytics we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website sets no cookies unless you accept analytics. We never set advertising or profiling cookies. Here is everything that is stored or loaded:
- Your privacy choice — a single entry in your browser's local storage (
omnia_consent_v1) recording what you chose, so we don't ask again. It is not a cookie, holds no personal data, and is strictly necessary — so it is always on and we don't ask consent for it. - Plausible analytics — only if you accept. Cookieless, collects no personal data, and cannot track you across sites or link visits together over time. If you reject it is never loaded; if you change your mind it is removed.
- Google Analytics cookies — only if you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies (
_gaand_ga_*) to recognise returning visits and count them accurately. They last up to two years. If you reject, they are never set; if you withdraw consent, we remove the tag and delete them.
We ask before loading anything at all. If you never accept analytics, this site sets no cookies whatsoever.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We use one processor to operate this site:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts this website and delivers enquiry emails (Amazon SES). Data is processed in the UK/EU (London and Ireland regions).
- Plausible Analytics — anonymous, cookieless page-view analytics, EU-hosted. Only loaded if you accept analytics.
- Google (Google Analytics 4) — page-view and usage analytics. Only loaded if you accept analytics. Google may process data outside the UK/EEA, including in the United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses / the UK data-transfer addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries reach us as email and are retained in our inbox for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and are then deleted. If your enquiry does not lead to a relationship, we delete it within 24 months.
Where your data is held
This website and its email delivery run in AWS regions in the United Kingdom and the European Union. Where any transfer outside the UK/EEA is necessary, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you have the right to access a copy of your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@weareomnia.com.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
